Axia Introduces First AES67-Compliant IP Driver, the Livewire+AES67 IP-Audio Driver!

LAS VEGAS, NV (BOOTH #N7724 & #SU2321) / CLEVELAND, OH – 18 April 2017

The Telos Alliance®—innovator in broadcast radio and TV technology and parent company to Telos®, Omnia®, Axia®, 25-Seven®, Linear Acoustic®, and Minnetonka™—announced today the v2.10 software update for the Axia IP-Audio Driver, which makes it the first AES67-compliant IP driver in the world. The Axia Livewire+ AES67 IP-Audio Driver is available now as a free download and will be demonstrated at NAB 2017, April 22–27, Las Vegas Convention Center, Telos Alliance Radio Booth #N7724.

"Axia is leading the way with AES67 education and by implementing AES67 compliance across our product line, a process we started when the standard was ratified," says Marty Sacks, VP of Sales, Support, and Marketing at the Telos Alliance. "The IP-Audio Driver, the first driver to feature AES67 compliance, reinforces our commitment to ongoing innovation and to offering broadcasters more options for interoperability with their preferred gear."

The Axia Livewire+ AES67 IP-Audio Driver lets customers send and record single or multiple channels of stereo PC audio directly to and from Axia networks via Ethernet—no sound cards needed. Up to 24 channels of stereo audio can be sent simultaneously over a single CAT-5 Ethernet connection. V2.10 updates the driver to make it AES67-compliant, adding the ability to sync to PTP, support to define multicast addresses outside of the Livewire range, and SIP/Unicast support for RTP streaming.

Users simply need to visit the Axia Livewire+ AES67 IP-Audio Driver Product Page to download the software.
