The 1000 sq.m. TV Studio is the biggest TV studio in the BTV new complex located in Beijing Central Business District (CBD). The TV Studio was designed to host different scales of TV Varity Program Productions from small to large. Finished in Dec 2008, the studio already produced a series of On air programs and recorded programs.
In order to provide concert grade on spot sound experience for the spectators inside the TV Studio, a separated Sound reinforcement system featuring Yamaha PM1D digital audio console, Sennheiser wireless microphone system, DPA wired microphones, Denon and Fostex recorders, Genelec 5.1 surround sound monitors, d&b speakers were used. With PM1D, 96 audio channels of full DSP were equipped, IO boxes were located at the stage as well as inside the control room to share I/O resources with the SSL C100 Digital On Air console. Both the broadcast chain and sound reinforcement chain were designed such that any one console, namely, C100 and PM1D would take up the full responsibility for broadcast and sound reinforcement in case the other console off duty as redundancy
